CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University baseball hosts Dartmouth College in its final home series of the 2022 season at O'Donnell Field with a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 30 beginning at 11:30 a.m. (ESPN+) and a single game on Sunday, May 1 at noon (ESPN+) with the Crimson set to recognize Senior Day in between Saturday's two games.

What to Know: Final Home Series
- Harvard will honor the Class of 2022 prior to the second game of Saturday's doubleheader. The Crimson recognize the contributions of seniors Jaren Zinn, Jack Mahala, and Joseph O'Connell during their time in Cambridge.
- The Crimson will also recognize members of the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 as both of those groups were not able to take part in an on-field senior ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Harvard will also welcome back the 1997 team on the 25th anniversary of its Ivy League title and NCAA tournament appearance. In 1997, the Crimson went 34-16 overall and 18-2 in Ivy League play, winning an NCAA play-in series against Army West Point before winning a pair of games at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
- Harvard Athletics is set to host its Bark at the Park event on Saturday, Apr. 30. Fans are invited to bring their dog to enjoy a day at the park. All dogs will receive a free Harvard giveaway while supplies last. For more information visit gocrimson.com/bark.
What to Know: Team Notes
- The Crimson (16-18, 7-7 Ivy) hosts the Big Green (19-15, 10-5 Ivy) in its final Ivy home series of the year with Harvard in fourth place in the conference standings, just one spot behind Dartmouth. Both teams are coming off Ivy series wins last weekend with Harvard topping Princeton, 2-1, and Dartmouth beating Cornell, 2-1.
- Harvard is set to throw sophomore RHP Chris Clark (2-1, 3.00 ERA) in game one, first-year RHP Sean Matson (2-3, 7.07 ERA) in game two, and senior RHP Jaren Zinn (2-2, 7.27 ERA) in game three. Dartmouth is scheduled to start RHP Nathan Skinner (4-3 5.66 ERA) in game one, LHP Trystan Sarcone (5-2, 3.97 ERA) in game two, and RHP Justin Murray (3-3, 9.00 ERA) in game three.
- Harvard holds a 134-129 lead in the all-time series with Dartmouth. In the two teams' last series in 2019, the Crimson took two of three games, capturing games one (2-1) and game two (11-3). The two teams first met in 1869.
- In the week four (Apr. 12) NEIBA Division I Coaches Poll, Harvard checked in at No. 4. The Crimson ranked in the No. 2 spot for the previous two weeks. Harvard fell out of the poll in week five (Apr. 20) for the first time since the rankings began on Mar. 22.
- The Crimson went 3-1 during the week of Apr. 18-24, earning an 18-2 win over Merrimack (Apr. 19) with a season-high run total and season-best four home runs before taking two of three games from Princeton (Apr. 23-24). Against the Tigers, Harvard captured game one (2-0) and game three (14-10, 12 innings).
- In Ivy League play, Harvard has hit .293 as a team with a .375 on-base percentage. In 14 games, the Crimson has totaled 105 runs, 153 hits, 29 doubles, and 13 home runs. Harvard has tallied double-figure hits in 9 of 14 Ivy games.
- In its first home games in 1,049 days, Harvard took two of three games from Brown, sweeping the doubleheader on Apr. 2, 17-7 and 7-1. For the series, Harvard tallied 29 runs, 47 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, and 25 RBIs. The Crimson posted a .405 team batting average and .455 team on-base percentage.
- In its first Ivy League series in over 1,000 days, Harvard swept a three-game set from Cornell. The Crimson took game one, 7-5, captured game two, 11-5, and rallied to win game three, 12-11. Harvard totaled 32 hits and 20 walks across the series, posting a .414 on-base percentage and .296 batting average.
- Harvard has tallied a pair of wins over teams from Power Five conferences this season. The Crimson opened the year with an 11-6 win over the ACC's Miami in its first game in 719 days. Harvard also earned a 5-0 shutout win over UCLA of the Pac-12.
What to Know: Batting Notes
- Sophomore Chris Snopek leads the Crimson in batting average (.346) and hits (45), while tallying a .442 on-base percentage, 26 runs, 19 RBIs, and six doubles. Snopek ranks seventh in the Ivy League in batting average, OBP, and hits. He paces the team with 15 multi-hit games on the year.
- Snopek hit .545 (6-for-11) with four RBIs, four runs, two doubles, and a triple in the Brown series. In his first Ivy series, Snopek posted a .455 average and .626 OBP vs. Cornell. Snopek hit .438 (7-for-16) in the Cal Poly series and earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors. He hit .500 with three RBIs, three runs, and a double in the Rice series. He totaled three hits, three runs scored, two RBIs, and his first career home run against Miami.
- Junior Logan Bravo has posted a .331 batting average and .392 on-base percentage on the season, while leading the team in doubles (12), slugging percentage (.543), and RBIs (34). Bravo ranks fourth in the Ivy League in RBIs and sixth in doubles. He has tallied 15 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games on the year.
- Bravo recorded two home runs, including a grand slam, and career-high seven RBIs vs. Merrimack (Apr. 19). Bravo hit .462 (6-for-13) in the Brown series with five RBIs, three doubles, and four runs. In the UCLA series, Bravo hit .500 (7-for-14) with a home run, two doubles, an RBI, and three runs scored. Bravo hit .400 (6-for-15) in the Cal Poly series, including three doubles. He went 5-for-13 (.385) with two doubles and four runs scored in the Rice series.
- Sophomore Jake Berger has reached base safely in 29 straight games. He has registered a .301 batting average, .442 on-base percentage, 34 runs scored, six doubles, 24 RBIs, and a team-high seven home runs. Berger leads the Ivy League in walks (28), while ranking sixth in runs scored and eighth in OBP. In Ivy play, he has hit a team-best .377 with a .515 OBP and five homers. In the Columbia series, he hit .462 (6-for-13) with two home runs.
- Junior Will Jacobsen has posted a .317 batting average this season and has hit .371 in Ivy League play with two home runs and 10 RBIs. He has registered 13 multi-hit games this season. In the Columbia series, he hit .615 (8-for-13) with a home run. Against Merrimack (Apr. 19), he notched a career-high six RBIs, including a grand slam.
- Jacobsen earned Ivy League Player of the Week on Apr. 25 following the Princeton series. For the week, he hit .474 (9-for-19) with 10 RBIs, a home run, two doubles, three runs, and a .524 OBP, while throwing 6.1 innings with a 0.00 ERA, permitting just two hits and three walks with six strikeouts.
- Sophomore Ben Rounds has posted a .292 batting average with 26 hits, 18 RBIs, 21 runs, nine doubles, and a .413 on-base percentage. In Ivy play, he has hit .306 with a .407 OBP. He hit .571 (8-for-14) with five RBIs, three doubles, and five runs in the Brown series. In the last two games of the Cornell series, he went 4-for-9 with five RBIs.
What to Know: Pitching Notes
- Sophomore right-handed reliever Jay Driver has thrown 22.2 innings of relief this season, allowing just three runs for a 1.19 ERA. He has posted four saves, 35 strikeouts to eight walks, and a 0.93 WHIP. In Ivy play, he has posted a 0.79 ERA, permitting one run over 11.1 innings. He earned saves at Rice (Mar. 4), at Cal Poly (Mar. 12), in game two at Cornell (Mar. 25), and in game one vs. Princeton (Apr. 23). He ranks second in the Ivy League in saves (four).
- Sophomore right-hander Chris Clark has not allowed a run in eight of his 11 appearances this season. He has posted a 3.00 ERA on the year, permitting eight runs over 24.0 innings. In his first career start, he hurled 5.0 shutout innings in the win in game one vs. Princeton (Apr. 23) with a career-high 11 strikeouts. Clark earned the win at Cornell (Mar. 25), hurling 4.2 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. He has posted two saves this year – at Rice (Mar. 5) and vs. Brown (Apr. 2).
- Junior right-handed pitcher Adam Stone has posted a 4.82 ERA with 29 strikeouts over 28.0 innings, while holding opponents to a .245 batting average. He earned a win vs. Brown (Apr. 2), hurling 6.0 innings and permitting one run with six strikeouts. Against Rice (Mar. 4), he threw 5.0 shutout innings, striking out eight. He made his collegiate debut against Miami (Feb. 25), striking out four batters over 4.0 innings.
- Junior left-handed pitcher Tim Williamson has notched 38 strikeouts and a .245 opponent batting average over 40.0 innings on the season. He ranks sixth in the Ivy League in opponent batting average. Williamson earned Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing 6.0 shutout innings with six strikeouts in a victory over UCLA (Mar. 19). He gained a win vs. Brown (Apr. 2), throwing 5.0 innings and allowing one earned run with a season-high nine strikeouts. He earned a win at Rice (Mar. 5), tossing 6.0 innings and permitting one run with seven strikeouts.
- Senior right-handed pitcher Jaren Zinn ranks fifth in the Ivy League with 55 strikeouts over 34.2 innings pitched. He earned the win in game three against Cal Poly Mar. 12) behind a career-high 11 strikeouts. Zinn threw 6.0 innings and allowed just one run on four hits and two walks. He gained Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honors for the effort. He tallied 10 strikeouts over 5.0 innings vs. Brown (Apr. 3) and then eight strikeouts over 5.0 innings vs. Penn (Apr. 10).
- Sophomore left-hander Uday Narottam has tossed 19.0 innings of relief this year, allowing 10 earned runs for a 4.74 ERA. He earned a save against Cal Poly (Mar. 13), throwing 3.2 innings without allowing a hit.
- First-year right-handed pitcher Sean Matson has thrown 28.0 innings this season, making appearances as a reliever and starter with 35 strikeouts. He notched a career-high nine strikeouts at Cornell (Mar. 25). Matson earned his first career win at Cal Poly (Mar. 13), pitching 5.1 innings with five strikeouts. He threw 4.0 innings of relief against Miami (Feb. 26), permitting just one run on two hits with six strikeouts.

Bill Decker, The Joseph J. O'Donnell '67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball, is in his 10
th season as the leader of the Crimson. The 2019 Ivy League Coach of the Year and 2019 NEIBA Coach of the Year led the Crimson to the 2019 Ivy League title. He holds a 141-187 record at Harvard and a 638-444 career record as a collegiate head coach.
