CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's heavyweight and lightweight rowing combined to have 41 Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) Scholar-Athletes in 2022, which was No. 1 nationally. The heavyweight program's 23 honorees, meanwhile, were the most in the country from a single team.
 
To be eligible for Scholar-Athlete accolades, rowers must attend IRCA member schools, be at least a sophomore, competed in their program's top-3 boats or raced at the 2022 IRA Championships, and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA through the fall semester.
 
Both rowing programs this season returned to action for the first time since the Fall of 2019. The heavyweight team went 5-1 in dual-race action, while the lightweight program posted four runner-up efforts this past spring.
