CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - A pair of women's lightweight rowing student-athletes are on their way to Italy to represents the United States at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Varese.
Elsa Andrews and
Ava Sack will travel to compete against boats from across the world in the women's lightweight pairs event.
The duo will race on Tuesday, July 26 and Friday, July 29. Streams of the races and more coverage will be available on

Sack has made several appearances on the international rowing stage, most recently capturing gold in the U23 lightweight eight at the 2019 Canadian Henley. Sack also finished fifth in the youth quadruple sculls with coxswain at the 2019 Head of the Charles while also finishing third in the lightweight four with coxswain at the 2018 Stotesbury Cup Regatta.
This will be Andrews' first appearance representing Team USA on the international stage after being a key feature in Radcliffe's varsity lightweight eight boat throughout this past season.
