CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a packed Murr Center this afternoon, No. 2 Harvard Men's Squash (7-0, 3-0 Ivy) took on No. 6 Trinity (9-0, 5-0 NESCAC). The Crimson grabbed the first three wins to pull ahead early before
Denis Gilevskiy secured the clinching win.
Harvard Highlights
- George Crowne continued his domination of opponents by taking down Abdelrahman Nassar (Trinity) 3-0 at the No. 2 poisition. Crowne only dropped 13 points on the day, the least by any Crimson player.
- Tate Harms, Denis Gilevskiy, David Costales, and Neel Joshi all swept their opponents.
- Denis Gilevskiy was able to clinch the win for the Crimson with his 3-0 victory over Ahmed Ismail at the No. 5 position with three matches outstanding. Gilevskiy outscored his opponent 33-24, the second-best margin of any Crimson player on the day.
- Marwan Tarek stretched his unbeaten season record to 6-0 with his 3-1 win over Mohamed Sharaf (Trinity). Tarek has played all six matches at the No. 1 position for the Crimson.
- Harvard grew their lead in the all-time series against Trinity to 34-30. The Crimson have now won the last five contests between the two squads.

The Crimson will return to action next weekend with a pair top five matchups for their first weekend back-to-back of the season. Harvard is set for a battle in both contests as they face No. 3 Princeton and No. 2 Penn on January 21 and 22, respectively. The three Ivy League teams make up the top three on the men's half of college squash.
