Cambridge, Mass. - The Harvard track and field teams will compete at two local competitions this weekend. Friday's meet will be back at the TRACK at New Balance as the Crimson compete at the BC Eagle Elite Invitational. On Saturday, the team will head to Boston University to run, jump and throw in the Battle in Beantown.
Friday's meet will start at 3:00 p.m. with the women's long jump and run until the conclusion of the men's 4x400m relay, set to start at 7:55 p.m. Stay tuned to GoCrimson.com and the @HarvardTFXC social media channels for updates on Saturday's meet schedule and live results links for both contests.
What to Know
• The Harvard men's and women's track and field teams last competed at the UMass Flagship Indoor Invitational, held at the TRACK at New Balance. Harvard came home with ten first place finishes and 11 other finishers on the podium.
• Gold medal winners last weekend included
Chloe Fair in the 200m dash,
Gregory Lapit in the 200m dash,
Jonas Clarke in the 60m dash,
Anastasia Retsa in the pole vault,
Kenneth Ikeji in the weight throw,
Sarah Omoregie in the shot put,
Izzy Goudros and
Jaeschel Acheampong in the women's and men's long jump and both the men's and women's 4x400m relay teams.
• Three school records have been broken so far this year with Clarke in the 60m dash,
Maia Ramsden in the 3000m run and
