CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 18 Harvard men's water polo will play four games in two days at the Harvard Invitational at Blodgett Pool this weekend. The Crimson will begin play on Saturday, taking on the University of California, Merced at 10:30 a.m. and Pomona Pitzer at 3:00 p.m. before closing out the weekend on Sunday, facing George Washington University at 8:30 a.m. and Wagner College at 12:00 p.m.
Last season Harvard went 2-1 at the Harvard Invitational, with wins over Penn State Behrend and Pomona Pitzer.
Harvard will host 12 games at Blodgett throughout the weekend and all games are being streamed on ESPN+.
WHAT TO KNOW
- The Crimson is on a four-game win streak and is coming off of a close NWPC win over Brown.
- Harvard is 4-1 at home this season.
- James Rozolis-Hill claimed NWPC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. Rozolis-Hill has been phenomenal for the Crimson, scoring five goals in each game last weekend.
- First-year Jacob Tsotadze has also been a threat for the Crimson this year, consistently adding to the score sheet.
- Tanner Furtak and Oliver Price have been solid in net for the Crimson.
NEXT UP
The Crimson will travel out to California for the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament beginning on Friday, Oct 20 and continuing to Sunday Oct. 22. Harvard will face Santa Clara University on Oct. 20 before playing two games on Saturday (San Jose State University and California Baptist University) and one on Sunday (University of the Pacific).
