CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's tennis will return home this weekend to host the ITA Northeast Regionals on Friday, October 6 through Sunday, October 8. As the Crimson compete on their home court several Harvard players will look to punch their tickets to the ITA Super Regionals.
What to Know
- The Crimson will look to grow on their regionals performance from last year which saw a duo qualify for the super regionals to add to the team's two automatic qualifiers.
- The Crimson have competed at two team tournaments so far this fall as well as the ITA All-American Championships, taking place currently.
- Through the two team tournaments, the Crimson have accumulated a strong 23 singles wins and 10 doubles wins.
- Last weekend at the Notre Dame Invite, first-year Stephanie Yakoff was dominant going 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles play.
- Kavya Karra has had a strong opening to her collegiate career, leading the Crimson in singles wins with a record of 5-1.
- Maxi Duncan made her season debut this past weekend, collecting a pair of singles wins to open her junior campaign.
- Kate Kim has also had much success in her opening tournaments of her first-year, going 2-1 in singles play each weekend.
Next Up
Following a weekend off, the Crimson will head to the ITA Super Regionals hosted by Army West Point beginning Friday, October 20 and running through Monday, October 23.
