CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving will hit the road for the first time this season as it is slated to face Columbia on Friday at 11 a.m. ET in New York City. The Crimson enters the meet with a 2-1 mark (2-1 Ivy League), while the Lions are 1-1 (1-1 Ivy League).
What to Know
- Harvard celebrated its six-member senior class last Saturday following its meet vs. Cornell and Dartmouth despite it being just its second outing of the campaign. The Crimson's home schedule is behind it with the balance of its schedule featuring all road events.
- Harvard split its aforementioned meet with the Big Green and Big Red. The Crimson earned a 158-142 decision vs. Dartmouth and was edged by Cornell, 152-148.
- Molly Hamlin and Anya Mostek won the 200 free (1:50.92) and 100 back (53.88), respectively, then teamed with Sydney Lu and Isabella Alas to win the 400 free relay (3:21.90).
- The Crimson swept both diving events in the double dual, with Nina Janmyr finishing atop the leaderboard. The sophomore first won the three-meter competition with a score of 308.85 and then posted the best effort on the one-meter board (311.30). Harvard took the top three spots at three meters and the top four in the one-meter event.
- Harvard, which opened the campaign with a win over Brown, enters the Columbia matchup having won 36 of the 37 all-time meetings. The Crimson has won eight straight in the series.
