CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – No. 11 Harvard water polo is set to begin its 2023 playoff run with Connecticut College tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Harvard is the top seed playing on day one and will face off against No. 7 Conn. College. Harvard has not played the Camels this season. If Harvard was to win in round one it would move on to play on Saturday with a chance to go to the finals. The three-day tournament will be streamed on ESPN+.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Harvard finished the regular season as co-NWPC champions after defeating Princeton two weeks ago. Harvard finished the regular season with an impressive 23-3 record.
- On its way to winning 23 games this season, The Crimson have won 17 in a row.
- The Crimson went 9-1 in conference play this season with the only loss coming to the nationally-ranked Princeton Tigers.
- At Blodgett Pool – Harvard is posting a 13-1 record when in Cambridge.
- The Crimson swept the NWPC weekly awards last week after Jack Burghardt, Alex James, and James Rozolis-Hill earned the honors.
- Harvard will be hosting the entirety of the NWPC conference tournament with the finals taking place on Sunday at Blodgett Pool.
- Harvard finished last season with a remarkable 21-9 record and also met Conn. College in the first round.
- The Crimson cruised to a 22-4 victory in round one over the Camels. Colin Le scored a hat-trick in the win.
