CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 10 Harvard men's water polo will play two more home games this weekend, playing host to Brown and MIT. The Crimson will take on the Brown Bears on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 6:00 p.m. before closing out the regular season against MIT On Sunday, Nov. 5 at 9:00 a.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Harvard moved up to No. 10 in the CWPA Poll and No. 11 in the ACWPC Poll, after defeating No. 6 Princeton on Sunday.
- The Crimson is on a 15-game win streak and the team holds a 21-3 overall record.
- Senior Gabe Putnam was recently named NWPC Player of the Week. Putnam scored the game-winning sudden death OT goal against rival Princeton and added two more goals and an assist in the game. Against LIU and Iona, Putnam added a goal and an assist, respectively.
- Tanner Furtak and Owen Hale have been solid in net for the Crimson. Furtak tallied a career-high 15 saves against Iona. Against Princeton, Hale tallied nine saves including many crucial stops down the stretch.
- Colin Le, Vilas Sogaard-Srikishnan (2), James Rozolis-Hill (2), and Putnam all had hat tricks this past weekend.
- The Harvard defense has stayed strong, holding LIU to zero goals in the final quarter.
- When the Crimson faced MIT earlier this season, Harvard scored 20 goals and held MIT to 4, with Rozolis-Hill netting five goals himself.
- In the previous matchup against Brown, nine Crimson players scored in the 17-13 victory over the Bears.
