CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball returns home on Saturday, December 2 for their second and final nonconference matchup of the season as they welcome University of Michigan to Cambridge. The Crimson have started the year 5-2 and are looking to extend its winning streak to three as the team faces off against a Power 5 opponent in the Wolverines.

- Harvard has begun their 2023-24 season and the second year under head coach Carrie Moore 5-2 with five strong victories and only falling to a pair of nationally ranked opponents.
- The Crimson most recently returned from a two-game road trip in San Diego where the team faced North Dakota State and SMU in the Coast 2 Coast 2023 San Diego Classic.
- In game one the Crimson defeated North Dakota State, 69-64 while shooting an even 50% as a team.
- Harmoni Turner led all scorers with 22 points while also contributing five rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
- Elena Rodriguez had a strong all-around performance against the Bison while scoring a season-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting and leading the team in rebounds (6), assists (4), and blocks (4).
- Harvard completed a 2-0 weekend the following day by defeating SMU 80-67. Harmoni Turner (25), Katie Krupa (23), and Lola Mullaney (17) complied 65 of the team's 80 total points on the day.
- Krupa's 23 points set a new career-high for the sophomore, besting her previous career best of 14 just 16 minutes into the contest. Krupa shot 6-of-9 from the field while draining four triples and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the line.
- After 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists across the Crimson two wins, Harmoni Turner was named to the all-tournament team and tournament MVP.
- As of November 29, Turner ranks sixth in the nation in total points having scored 156 through seven games and 11th in points per game while averaging 22.3 points. Off to a hot start, Turner also checks in as tied for 20th in field goals made (54) and tied for 30th in assists (35).
- Turner is one of just four players in the country to be averaging at least 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game. The only other players joining Turner are Caitlin Clark (Iowa), Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame) and Daisha Bradford (UL Monroe).
- As of November 29, Mullaney is tied for 10th in the country in three pointers made with 22 through seven games and tied for 25th in three pointers per game, averaging 3.14 triples.
- As a team the Crimson are ranked 46th in the country in three-point percentage defense, holding its opponents to 24.6% from beyond the arc.
- The Crimson sit within the top-two of several statistical categories within the Ivy League through its first seven games. Harvard is first in scoring offense (74.9 PPG), three-point percentage (33.9%), opponent three-point percentage (24.6%), and blocked shots (4.29 BPG). The Crimson is also second in scoring margin (+8.1) and three-pointers made (56).
- On Saturday, Carrie Moore, the Kathy Delaney-Smith Head Coach for Women's Basketball, will reunite with Michigan head coach, Kim Barnes Arico. Moore arrived in Cambridge in 2022 following a one-year stint as an assistant coach with the Wolverines.
- The Crimson season will consist of 13 nonconference matchups before it begins conference play on Saturday, January 6 against Yale.
- This weekend's matchup will be the second meeting between the two teams in history. The Wolverines defeated the Crimson 72-61 when the squads faced off in 2012.
