Boston, Mass. - The Harvard men's and women's track and field teams traveled to the Scarlet and White Invitational at Boston University where three more school records, an Ivy League record and the Luxembourg National Record in the men's mile fell. The Crimson Elite and Multi wrapped up at home as well with the men's heptathlon.
Harvard Highlights
- Maia Ramsden broke a 43 year old record set by Darlene Beckford in 1980 in the women's mile, setting the new time to beat at 4:30.19 in her mile season opener. She beat out the entire field of collegiate runners with a time that puts her second in the NCAA.
- Graham Blanks set a new Harvard and Ivy League record in the mile run with a time of 3:56.63. This bumps him up to 13th in the NCAA as he beat all collegiate competition in Boston. Vivien Henz and Acer Iverson were not far behind, as Henz finished in 3:57.47 and Iverson in 3:58.27. Henz's time set a new Luxembourg national record in the indoor mile by over ten seconds.
- Victoria Bossong set a new record in the 500m run, beating her personal best by a second with a time of 1:10.23.
- John Minicus rounded out the men's heptathlon back home at the Gordon Indoor Track with a score of 5029 to jump up to second all-time in the Harvard record books.
- Chloe Fair took second in the women's 400m dash, running a 53.63 to move up to number three in the Harvard record book.
- The Crimson women's 4x400m team of Bossong (54.83), Izzy Goudros (53.65), Tina Martin (54.71) and Fair (53.61) won the relay event with a time of 3:36.79, jumping up to number two in the Harvard record books for the relay.
