Harvard Women's Tennis to Play a Pair of Matches in California

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 65 Harvard Women's Tennis (7-6) will travel to San Luis Obispo, California to compete against Cal Poly (5-5) on Thursday, March 16 at 2 p.m. and No. 54 BYU (7-3) on Friday, March 17 at 2:30 p.m.

What to Know

  • At 7-6 on the season, Harvard currently ranks No. 65 in the country. After winning three straight matches, the Crimson narrowly fell to No. 43 Denver 4-3 at home in their last match on March 11.  
  • First-year Charlotte Owensby enters this week's matches ranked No. 82 in the ITA singles rankings.
  • The Cal Poly Mustangs have won four straight matches, most recently defeating UC San Diego 5-2.
  • This will be the first time the Crimson and Mustangs have matched up in school history.
  • The BYU Cougars are ranked 54th in the country, having won four straight matches. The Cougars most recently defeated No. 44 Utah 4-0.
  • Harvard is 3-0 all time against the Cougars. The two schools most recently faced off last season where the Crimson defeated the Cougars 4-2.
