DURHAM, N.C. – Competing at Duke University's Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday, March 23, Harvard Men's Fencing finished day one of the NCAA Championships sitting in eighth place with 27 total points after fencing with only four out of a possible six fencers.
After completing rounds 1-3 on Thursday, rounds 4-5 will take place Friday morning starting at 9 a.m.,
streamed by Duke University. The top four fencers from each weapon will then move on to the semifinals on Friday afternoon streamed on
ESPN + starting at 1:30 p.m.
Harvard's junior captain,
Jonas Hansen (epee), had a spectacular day one of the NCAA Championships, winning 10 out of his 15 bouts and notching a +12-touch differential. Hansen finished day one sitting in fifth place in his respective weapon.
Sophomore
James Chen (foil) also impressed, posting a record of 8-7 and sitting in 10
th place in a tightly contested foil race.

Kenji Bravo (foil). Bravo recorded seven bout wins in Thursday's outing and currently rests in 13
th place.
Competing at his first NCAA Championships, first-year
Ark Ma (epee) won two bouts and stands at 23
rd place heading into Friday.
