Crimson Fencers Embark to Salt Lake City For October North America Cup

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard fencing kicks off the 2025-26 calendar with a marquee national meet, as several Crimson fencers travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for the October North America Cup from Friday, Oct. 3 to Monday, Oct. 6.

The action begins with the Division I women's epee competition on Friday, Oct 3. Junior Izzy Chin and sophomore Yasmine Khamis will represent the Crimson in the Division I women's epee competition. Last season saw Khamis qualify for the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships, while Chin represented the Crimson at the 2024 NCAA Fencing Championships and earned All-Ivy League Second Team honors last year. A native of Dallas, Texas, Khamis will also fence in the junior women's epee event on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The opening day of the October NAC continues with the Division I men's foil event. A pair of Crimson fencers will take center stage in Division I men's foil, as junior Daniel Zhang and first-year Roy Graham will take part in the tournament. Zhang took All-Ivy League First Team honors last season and was an All-America First Team selection in 2024. On Sunday, Oct. 5, Graham will also compete in the junior men's foil event.

Three Crimson fencers highlight the Division I women's saber event on Saturday, Oct. 4. Seniors Zoe Kim and Chloe Williams, along with junior Kaitlyn Pak, will look to make an impact in the Division I women's saber event. A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Pak garnered All-America Second Team status last year. A two-time All-America First Team honoree, junior Henry Lawson is scheduled to compete in the men's epee Division I event on Saturday, Oct. 4 as well.

Two Harvard first-years will feature in the Division I women's foil event at the Salt Palace Convention Center on Sunday, Oct. 5. First-years Emily Jing and Lucia Zhang will look to find success in both the Division I women's foil event and the junior women's foil event on Friday, Oct. 3.

Division I men's saber concludes the action on Sunday, Oct. 5, as junior Tommy Choi and first-year Cody Ji will feature in the event.

Harvard begins the collegiate season on Saturday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Ohio State Invitational. Chin will serve as the captain for the women's team this season, while Zhang is the men's team captain.
