Crimson Fencers Shine at October North America Cup

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. – Harvard fencing kicked-off the 2025-26 fencing calendar with a series of stellar performances at the October North America Cup, as five Crimson recorded top-10 performances.

Junior Henry Lawson posted the top result for the Crimson at the October NAC, as the two-time All-American shined with a second place showing in Division I men's epee competition. In the semifinals, Lawson rose to the occasion, earning his spot in the gold medal round with a 15-9 win over Oleg Knysh.

A pair of first-years were phenomenal in the Division I women's foil event. First-year Lucia Zhang was sensational, taking seventh place as fellow classmate Emily Jing followed closely behind with a 10th place showing. Zhang also excelled in the Junior women's foil event, taking eighth at the end of the competition.

Harvard made an immediate impact in the Division I women's epee event at the October NAC. Junior Isabella Chin was exceptional on the strip over the day, finishing in sixth against a strong field. Along with Chin, sophomore Yasmine Khamis also represented the Crimson in the Division I women's epee event, finishing in 41st. Khamis also took 91st in the Junior women's epee event.

Two Crimson fencers found success in the Division I men's foil competition to start the weekend in Salt Lake City. A two-time All-American, junior and team captain Daniel Zhang took 12th place at the October North America Cup, as first-year Roy Graham placed in a tie for 67th. Graham, a native of Springfield, Virginia, shined in the Junior men's foil event as well last weekend, taking 11th to end his time at the October NAC.

The Crimson were exceptional in the Division I women's saber event, as a trio of Crimson finished inside the top 50 of the standings. An All-American Second Team selection last season, junior Kaitlyn Pak led the way for Harvard in Division I women's saber, taking fifth place. Senior Zoe Kim finished in 33rd, while fellow classmate Chloe Williams took 50th.

A pair of Crimson wrapped their weekends with the Division I men's saber event. First-year Cody Ji took 46th place, while junior Tommy Choi finished in 120th.
