MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Harvard women's swimming and diving's
Nina Janmyr qualified for the NCAA Championships in 1-meter diving on Tuesday at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Janmyr,
Evie Geier and
Remi Edvalson all made it out of the preliminary rounds and into the championship event. Janmyr led the group with a score of 542.05, which was good for 10
th place, securing her spot at the national meet based her NCAA-qualifying performance 24 hours prior in the 3-meter event. Geier, meanwhile, came in 15
th after posting a score of 519.50, with Edvalson finishing in 16
th (517.30).
Katie Laverty fell three places shy of moving on to the finals, completing her preliminary performance in 21
st place (247.00).
Amy Wotovich also competed on the 1-meter board and finished the prelims in 38
th (229.85).
The Crimson wraps up action at the Zone Championships on Wednesday at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park. The action will get underway at 11 a.m. ET.
