CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving rising senior
Simon Lamar has earned a spot on the U.S. Open Water National Team, USA Swimming revealed on Tuesday.
Hailing from Hacienda Heights, California, Lamar secured his spot on the team with a ninth-place performance (1:51:31.52) in the 10K national championship at the Open Water National Championships last month in Sarasota, Florida.
One of six swimmers on the roster, Lamar is making his second appearance with the national team after doing so during the 2021-22 campaign. This past season, he was part of a Crimson team that won its sixth consecutive Ivy League title, helping Harvard become the first Ancient Eight school to win six outright championships.
