CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard track and field gathered for its senior recognition dinner at the Faculty Club, announcing its 2023-24 captains, as voted by their teammates, as well as the 2023 senior awards.
The event celebrated the upcoming graduation of the team's 26 seniors:

The upcoming season's women's track and field captain elects are
Mackenzie Condon,
Chloe Fair and
Cara Salsberry.
Lance Ward and
Jaeschel Acheampong will lead the men's team.
Condon, a rising senior will captain the team for the second year in a row and competed in the pole vault this past season. Fair, a rising sophomore, had an excellent first-year season, where she was an Ivy League champion in the indoor 400m dash and 4x400m relay and outdoor 400m hurdles. Salsberry, a rising sophomore, scored podium points for the Crimson with a bronze medal in the Ivy League indoor championship weight throw and a fourth-place finish at the outdoor championship discus throw.
A rising senior, Ward returns as captain after serving as a junior and was a leader in sprints this past season. He scored five podium finishes in the Ivy League indoor and outdoor championships combined, including two first place finishes, one second and two third. A rising junior, Acheampong is a multi-event athlete who leads the team in the long jump and regularly competes in the 100m dash.
The team also handed out the Harvard-Yale Women's Track Prize and The Treasurer's Award.

The gift of the William Lowell Putnam Prize Fund for the Promotion of Scholarship to establish a fund, the income to be used to award a trophy at the Harvard - Yale Women's Track and Field Meet.
Athletic Trophy Fund (1951) Treasurers Award in Track (1967) – Alexander Kolesnikoff
The gift of George F. Bennett, the Treasurer's Trophy is to be awarded annually to the outstanding performer in the annual dual outdoor track meet between Harvard and Yale. The selection is to be made by the head coaches of each team. The Trophy is donated by Charles S. Gage, Yale, 1928 and George F. Bennett, Harvard, 1933. Both were trackmen in their undergraduate years.
