CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard field hockey will play eight home games in the run up to the inaugural Ivy League Field Hockey Tournament, including five teams that clinched bids to the 2022 NCAA Tournament, as head coach
Tjerk van Herwaarden announced the 2023 schedule on Thursday (June 14).
Harvard will start the season with four straight road contests at UMass, UConn, Liberty, and Virginia. The Crimson will open its home and Ivy slate against Dartmouth on Sept. 15 at Berylson Field.
Other non-conference highlights include home games against Duke (Sept. 24), Syracuse (Oct. 1), and St. Joseph's (Oct. 9).
The Crimson will host Penn on Oct. 21 in its home finale, and then will close the regular season at Cornell on Oct. 28.
The 2023 Ivy League Tournament is set to take place on Nov. 3 and Nov. 5 at the site of the regular season league champion.
The Crimson will look to build off another strong campaign, as Harvard finished the 2022 season at 13-4 (6-1 Ivy League). Harvard has won 60 games over the last four seasons, including a 31-3 record in games played at Berylson Field and a 26-2 mark in Ivy League contests.
