CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving rising sophomore
Nina Janmyr is set to represent Sweden at the upcoming World University Games after winning the 3-meter diving event and coming in second place on the 1-meter board at the Swedish Diving Nationals.
A native of Hjarup, Sweden, Janmyr earned a spot in the 3-meter finals after posting preliminary round score of 225.85, which was good for sixth place. After the field was cut from 16 to 12, Janmyr rose to the occasion and claimed the title with a winning performance of 266.40.
On the 1-meter springboard, Janmyr opened with a score of 240.75 in the preliminary rounds, securing a spot in the championship field. The 2023 NCAA participant then turned in a runner-up effort in the finals, posting a score of 239.40.
Janmyr will now prepare to compete at the World University Games being held in Chengdu, China, from July 28-Aug. 8. She is the second Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving athlete scheduled to compete on the world stage, joining
Anya Mostek, who will compete for the United States.
