CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Tennis returned to the court in 2022-23 and posted its seventh consecutive winning campaign, laying the foundation for what looks to be an exciting 2023-24 when classes resume in the fall.
The Crimson made strides during the fall season, which prepared it for one of its toughest schedules in recent memory. Harvard opened the campaign with three straight dual-match victories, including a win over cross-town foe Boston College.
Harvard showed it could compete with its Power-5 counterparts and against its other nationally ranked opponents on its schedule before closing its slate with Ivy League action.
At the conclusion of the campaign,
Charlotte Owensby was named the Ivy and ITA Northeast Region Rookie of the Year, and was joined on the all-conference team by
Maxi Duncan (All-Ivy Singles and Doubles Second Team),
Rachel Arbitman (All-Ivy Doubles First Team),
Iveta Daujotaite (All-Ivy Doubles First Team) and
Sophia Ho (All-Ivy Doubles Second Team).
With an incoming first-year class that is ranked No. 6 in the nation by TennisRecruiting.Net and a talented group of returners, next season is poised to be thrilling in Cambridge.
