What to Know

  • The 2023 edition of the Harvard-Yale Regatta will mark the second straight season in which it has been contested, following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
  • Last season, the Crimson finished in second place with a time of 18:42.1. Harvard is looking for its first victory since 2014.
  • The Harvard 2V carries a 77-41 all-time lead over Yale into Saturday's regatta. The Crimson finished in second last season (13:44.9). Harvard, however, has taken nine of the last 13 matchups.
  • The Crimson 3V leads its head-to-head series with Yale, 75-41, a mark that includes performances from the 3V and freshman boats. Harvard (8:19.5) fell short a season ago, but has emerged victorious in 12 of the last 14 races.
  • Harvard is fresh off a weekend in New Jersey, where it competed at the IRA National Regatta. The Crimson 1V finished in third place in the petite final and the 2V fell just short of earning a medal, coming in fourth place in the grand final. The Harvard 3V, however, captured silver in its final.
