Men's Volleyball Announces 2024 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard Men's Volleyball team is slated to play 24 games, including 11 conference games, through their 2024 season, Head Coach Brian Baise announced today. The season will run from Sunday, Jan. 7 through the EIVA Tournament from April 17-20.

The team's 2024 season will start on Sunday, January 7 as Harvard travels first to a nearby in-state competitor in Merrimack, then to two cross-country matches against USC and CSUN on Jan. 11 and 12, respectively.  The Crimson will kick off their season with an opponent they beat twice last year in Merrimack, both with scores of 3-0.

Following their opening weekend, Harvard will stay on the road for the remainder of January, heading to D'Youville and Daemen through the week of Jan. 15 and then to Sacred Heart on Jan. 26.

Competition at home will begin with the Harvard Invitational on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3. Harvard will play host to Grand Canyon and UC Santa Barbara in front of the home crowd for the first time in 2024. At the 2023 Harvard Invite, the Crimson split their two matches.

Following the Harvard Invite, the Crimson will retain home court advantage for the month of February, hosting Merrimack and Lincoln Memorial through the first two weekends. EIVA Conference play will begin on Feb. 16 and 17 as Harvard hosts Charleston for two matches. Princeton, another conference rival, will then make the trip to Cambridge to face the Crimson on Feb. 23 and 24.

Back on the road, Harvard will head to the Golden state to play in two weekday matches at UC San Diego on March 12 and Concordia University on March 13. They will then return home to play Dominican University on March 23.

Conference play will stretch throughout the remainder of March and April, as Harvard is set to travel to Penn State on March 29 and 30 and then to George Mason on April 5 and 6. The regular season will close out with two home matches against NJIT on April 12 and 13. The EIVA Tournament is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 17 with matches running until April 20.

Harvard closed out the 2023 season with a 9-16 record including EIVA wins over NJIT before falling to George Mason in the EIVA Tournament to end the season.
