CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University men's soccer hosts Cornell University on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 4:00 p.m. (ESPN+) at Jordan Field in its Ivy League opener with the Crimson coming off a 4-2 victory over Fairfield in its last outing.

- Last time out, first-year Dylan Tellado scored a pair of goals, senior Ale Gutierrez and junior Sam Bjarnason each scored once, and senior Willem Ebbinge (four) and junior Alessandro Arlotti (three) each tallied career highs in assists as Harvard defeated Fairfield University (Sept. 23).
- Senior Willem Ebbinge leads the Crimson with six points on the season behind a goal and four assists. Ebbinge ranks second in the Ivy League in assists (four). He netted the equalizer in Harvard's draw with Vermont and posted a career-high three assists at Fairfield.
- Ebbinge currently ranks second all-time at Harvard with 28 career assists. Andre Akpan '10 (33) holds the top spot on the Crimson's all-time list.
- Junior defender Jan Riecke has anchored Harvard's back line thus far this fall, playing in all 540 minutes on the year. Senior defender Nik White follows him with 525 minutes played on the season.
- Junior Alessandro Arlotti stands second in the Ivy League in assists (three), first in shots (20), and third in shots on goal (seven).
- Senior Willem Ebbinge converted a penalty kick in the 78th minute as Harvard earned a 1-1 draw with No. 12 Vermont (Sept. 16). Ebbinge scored his goal in his first start for the Crimson since coming back from OFC Olympic Qualifying where he helped New Zealand book its spot in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
- In the Crimson's outing against No. 23 Seton Hall (Sept. 9), senior Nik White scored a critical goal, netting an equalizer in the 90th minute to help the Crimson earn a point against the nationally ranked Pirates with a goal with 24 seconds left.
- Opening its 2023 season, the Crimson has taken on a more challenging non-conference slate. Harvard began the year against an opponent from the Atlantic-10 (Rhode Island) and back-to-back Big East teams in Marquette and No. 23 Seton Hall. The Crimson later met another top-25 opponent in No. 12 Vermont.
- In its home and season opener against Rhode Island (Sept. 1), the Crimson posted a shutout in a 0-0 draw with sophomore goalkeeper Lucian Wood earning his first career clean sheet.
- Harvard has recorded a 6-2-6 record in its last 14 games and has posted a 7-2-4 mark in its last 13 home games at Jordan Field.
- Senior midfielder Willem Ebbinge helped New Zealand qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics as the team beat Fiji, 9-0, in the final of the Oceania Men's Olympic Qualification Tournament on Sept. 9 at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.
- Harvard leads the all-time series with Cornell, 41-27-15.
- Cornell brings a 3-2-0 record into the weekend, including a pair of ranked wins with victories over No. 19 New Hampshire (1-0 on Sept. 4) and No. 7 Syracuse (2-1 on Sept. 19).
