CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis began their 2023-24 campaign this afternoon in Beren Tennis Center with the opening day of their annual fall tournament, Chowderfest. The Crimson continued their winning ways from a season ago, capturing three doubles and five singles wins.
Harvard Highlights
- The No. 58 nationally ranked duo of Daniel Milavsky and Cooper Williams made their debut as a pair today handling Felipe Pinzon/Samuel Paquette (Cornell), 6-4.
- Valdemar Pape and Alan Yim posted the best doubles result of the day for the Crimson, cruising to a 6-2 victory.
- Masato Perera and David Lins picked up the third doubles win for the Crimson with a 6-3 victory over Andrej Djokic/Derin Acaroglu (Tufts).
- Melchior Delloye, Masato Perera, David Lins, and James MacDonald all picked up their first wins of the season in straight set fashion.
- First-year Rohan Murali collected his first career collegiate win in a come from behind victory over Bradley Paliska (Cornell), 5-7, 7-5, 10-2.
Next Up
The Crimson will move indoors tomorrow to the Murr Center for the second day of Chowderfest. The first round of matches will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the afternoon session at 2:00 p.m.
