CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University men's basketball first-year guard
Malik Mack has earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors for the sixth time this season following the Crimson's win at Penn, the Ivy League conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Mack – who has claimed the award in back-to-back weeks – totaled 16 points, a game-high five assists, four rebounds, and two steals in Harvard's 70-61 road win over the Quakers on Saturday. He scored in double figures for the 12
th time in 13 games played this year. Mack posted five or more assists in a game for the sixth time this season.
As a team, the Crimson has captured the conference's rookie of the week award seven times in 2023-24. Mack took the accolades in each of the first four weeks of the season (Nov. 13, Nov. 20, Nov. 27, Dec. 4) in addition to the last two weeks (Jan. 16, Jan. 22) while first-year forward
Thomas Batties II claimed the honor on Jan. 2.
