Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweights Begin Fall Campaign at Dartmouth Gardner Cup

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard-Radcliffe lightweight rowing is set to be on the water for the first time this fall season when it scrimmages Dartmouth for the 50th anniversary of the Gardner Cup. The scrimmage will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10:30 a.m. in Hanover, New Hampshire.

WHAT TO KNOW

  • This is the first time Harvard-Radcliffe will be in action in the 2024-25 campaign under Stacey Apfelbaum, the first-year David K. Richards '61 Family Head Coach for Radcliffe Lightweight Crew.
  • This marks the first time Harvard-Radcliffe lightweights have competed for the Dartmouth Gardner Cup.
  • Harvard-Radcliffe is coming off a bronze medal finish in the 2024 IRA Championship in the spring, marking the team's first podium finish since 2016.
  • The team introduces six new first-year athletes: Michaela Darcy, Hannah Marks, Jamie Rediy, Ella Sheth, Melanie Votovich, and Ava Weneck.
