CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 15 Harvard men's water polo returns to NWPC play with a pair of games this weekend. WHAT TO KNOW
  • Harvard went 1-3 at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament last weekend in Santa Clara and San Jose.
  • The Crimson faced three tight matchups against ranked opponents, marking the toughest stretch of the season thus far.
  • Narrowly falling to No. 14 CBU by a score of 14-11, the Crimson also dropped games to No. 4 Pacific and No. 12 San Jose State by one goal in each game.
  • The game against San Jose State went into overtime, where Harvard is now 1-1 after previously defeating Princeton earlier in the year.
  • Harvard picked up a win over hosts No. 17 Santa Clara after Owen Hale, James Rozolis-Hill, and Dean Strauser combined for nine of the Crimson's 11 goals.
  • Jack Burghardt netted the game-winning goal with time expiring in the fourth quarter.
  • The Crimson earned its second clean sweep of the NWPC Weekly Awards this week: Owen Hale was named Player of the Week, Dean Strauser took home Rookie of the Week, and Tanner Furtak earned his second Defensive Player of the Week nod.
  • Strauser joins Furtak and Rozolis-Hill as the only players with multiple NWPC weekly accolades.
  • Harvard previously defeated both MIT and Brown earlier this season at Blodgett Pool.
  • James Rozolis-Hill contributed seven goals against the Bears, while the Crimson put up 21 goals against the Engineers in a Sunday evening game.
