CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis closed a successful weekend at the Battle of Boston, collecting four additional victories across singles and doubles actions this afternoon.
In doubles, the paring of
James MacDonald and
Elisha Thornton collected their second win of the weekend, dropping Jonah Dickson and Dion Loutas (BU), 6-3.
Either Crimson player also contributed singles victories this afternoon. First, Thornton defeated Gustavs Dambins (BU) in convincing straight set fashion, 6-4, 6-2. MacDonald followed with a similarly impressive, 6-3, 6-4, victory over Andrew Ilie (BC).
The final win of the day was a collegiate first as
Brick Johnson recorded his first singles victory at Harvard. The first-year defeated Jaydon Barki (BU) in straight sets, claiming the first frame 6-4 and battling through the second set, 7-5, to solidify the match.
