In nordic competition at the Oak Hill Outdoor Center, Donley notched her second top-30 finish of the weekend adding her 28
th-place finish in the women's 15k classic to her 17
th-place in Friday's 1.3k skate sprint. Senior

Closing out three straight days of competition at the Dartmouth Skiway, McNamara led the Crimson with his career-best 13
th place finish in the slalom while junior
Matt Ryan followed in 19
th. On Friday, Halvorsen posted a season-best 11
th-place finish in the giant slalom.

Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 3 (Saturday)
- Senior Liam McNamara posted a season-best 13th-place finish in the men's slalom with a 1:44.59 (52.28 run one, 42.31 run two), collecting 27 EISA points and 20 NCAA points. He registered his third top-30 finish of the weekend and has finished in the top 30 at all seven events in the 2024 carnival season.
- Junior Matt Ryan came in 19th in the men's slalom behind a 1:45.48 (52.11 run one, 53.37 run two), notching 22 EISA points and 12 NCAA points. He recorded his third top-20 finish of the year.
Harvard Highlights: Nordic Day 2 (Saturday)
- Junior Quincy Donley came in 28th in the women's 15k classic with a time of 57:53.7, compiling 21 EISA points and five NCAA points. She posted her second top-30 finish of the weekend and fifth top 30-finish on the year.
- Senior Laura Appleby – competing in her second carnival of the season after returning from injury – came in 35th in the 15k classic with a time of 58:46.1, charting 18 EISA points.
- First-year Breagh Bridge followed in 52nd with a 1:00:20.3 for nine EISA points.
Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 2 (Friday)
- Senior Elsie Halvorsen came in 11th place in the women's giant slalom, notching her first top-11 finish of the 2024 carnival season. She has placed in the top-30 in all six events this year and tallied her fourth top-13 finish. Halvorsen finished eighth in run two and 13th in run one, clocking a 1:53.27 (57.10 run one, 56.17 run two). She tallied 29 EISA points and 24 NCAA points.
- On the men's side, senior Liam McNamara (29th, 1:50.63), junior Matt Ryan (30th, 1:50.63), and first-year Josh Rosenberg (35th, 1:51.23) all came within six spots of one another in men's giant slalom competition. McNamara, Ryan, and Rosenberg notched 14, 13, and nine EISA points respectively.
Harvard Highlights: Nordic Day 1 (Friday)
- Junior Quincy Donley placed 17th overall in the women's 1.3k skate sprint, collecting 26 EISA points and 14 NCAA points. She posted her fourth top-25 finish of the season. Donley came in 13th in the qualifier (3:08.74) before finishing fourth in quarterfinal five (3:04.93).
- Senior Laura Appleby followed Donley with a 20th-place overall finish for 24 EISA points and 11 NCAA points. She notched a season-best finish in her third event since returning from injury. Appleby came in 22nd in the qualifier (3:11.78) before placing fourth in quarterfinal four (3:03.02).
- First-year Sam Gallaudet paced the Crimson men in the 1.3k skate sprint with a 24th-place overall finish for 20 EISA points and nine NCAA points. He came in 28th in the qualifier (2:39.41) before placing fifth in quarterfinal five (2:38.00). Gallaudet recorded his third top-30 finish of the year.
- Junior Tali Wong came in 38th place in the women's 1.3k skate, tallying 11 EISA points behind a season-best finish.
- As a team, the Harvard women came in seventh with 61 points and the men finished 11th with 29 points.
Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 1 (Thursday)
- Senior Elsie Halvorsen placed 25th in women's giant slalom with a time of 2:01.11 (1:00.25 run one, 1:00.86 run two), collecting six NCAA points. She has placed in the top-30 at all five events this carnival season, including four top-25 finishes.
- Senior Liam McNamara posted a 25th-place effort in men's giant slalom behind a time of 1:56.49 (57.99 run one, 58.50 run two), tallying six NCAA points. He came in 12th place in run one. This carnival season, he has finished in the top-30 at all five events, including three top-25 showings.
- First-year Josh Rosenberg – wearing bib number 72 – worked his way up the field, finishing in 42nd place (1:58.43, 59.37 run one, 59.06 run two).

Next Up
Harvard will compete at the Williams Carnival from Feb. 16-17 with alpine events taking place at Jiminy Peak in Hancock, Massachusetts and nordic competition occurring at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vermont. The alpine team will also close out the rescheduled UVM Carnival with the slalom on Feb. 18 at Catamount Mountain in Egremont, Massachusetts.
