ATHENS, Ga. – Harvard's Women's Swimming and Diving's
Nina Janmyr and
Remi Edvalson wrapped up first-day action for the Crimson at the NCAA Championships on Thursday. The duo was part of the 51-athlete field in the 1-meter diving event.
Janmyr, the 2024 Ivy League champion, posted a six-dive score of 237.55 to finish in 40
th place during the preliminary round. Edvalson, the Ivy runner-up in the 1-meter, finished two places below in 42
nd after recording a score of 233.35.
After six rounds of diving, the two did not advance to the consolation finals. They did, however, log the top scores in the Ivy League, with Yale's Gloria Lai coming in 44
th place (226.85).
Harvard will return to Georgia's Gabrielsen Natatorium on Friday morning for the prelims of the 100 back and 3-meter diving.
Anya Mostek will compete in the 100 back in the 10 a.m. session, while
Amy Wotovich will perform on the 3-meter springboard at noon. ESPN+ will have the action live.
