Women’s Swimming and Diving Completes Campaign at NCAA Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving completed its time at the NCAA Championships on Saturday at the University of Georgia's Gabrielsen Natatorium.

Anya Mostek kicked off the festivities for Harvard, stepping onto the pool deck for the prelims of the 200 backstroke. The sophomore, in Lane 2 of Heat 3, finished the race in 1:55.48. When the water settled, Mostek, who competed in the 100 back on Friday, finished in 43rd place overall and was unable to advance to the finals.

Remi Edvalson, meanwhile, returned to the pool for the first time since competing in the 1-meter diving competition on Thursday. Saturday's task was the platform, which she qualified for at last week's NCAA Zone A Diving Championships. The junior finished her five-dive prelim with a score of 224.60, putting her in 31st place and falling short of moving on to the consolation finals.

Saturday's action at NCAAs put a close to the 2023-24 season for Harvard under first-year head coach Amanda Kulik. The Crimson finished as runner-up at the Ivy League Championships, marking the 21st straight time it finished first or second at the conference meet. Additionally, with four Harvard athletes (Mostek, Edvalson, Nina Janmyr, Amy Wotovich) earning bids to nationals, its most since 2019, it marked the 12th consecutive time in which the Crimson appeared at the NCAA meet.
