FIeld Hockey Reveals 2024 Spring Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a historic 2023 campaign, Harvard field hockey will participate in three exhibition days in the month of April.

On Saturday, Apr. 6, Harvard travels to Storrs, Conn. to face off against UConn and UAlbany. The Crimson played against the Huskies in 2023, as Harvard outlasted UConn in 3-2 overtime win. UConn finished last season with a 5-13 record and a 2-5 mark in BIG EAST play. UAlbany posted a 13-6 record in 2023, as the Great Danes fell in the America East Championship.

The next week sees the Crimson welcome Northeastern, Providence, and UMass on Saturday, Apr. 13. In the 2023 regular season, Harvard earned a pair of wins against UMass and Northeastern. Providence went 3-4 against BIG EAST foes en route to a 10-8 2023 record, while UMass went 13-7 and lost to St. Joe's in the Atlantic 10 Championship Final. Northeastern logged an 8-10 record last year, losing to Monmouth in the CAA Championship.

The spring season concludes on Saturday, Apr. 20, as Harvard hosts Boston University and New Hampshire. Last October, Harvard defeated the Terriers on the road, 7-0. Boston University went 8-10 last year, losing in overtime to Lafayette in the Patriot League Semifinals. The Wildcats posted a 12-7 record last year, falling to Maine in the America East Quarterfinals.

Harvard is the defending Ivy League regular season and tournament champions, as the Crimson defeated Princeton to lift the inaugural Ivy League Field Hockey Tournament trophy. The Crimson went 16-4 last year, advancing all the way to the NCAA Championships Quarterfinals.
