Men's Water Polo Announces 2024 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming off a trip to the NWPC Championship Game last season, Harvard men's water polo is set to return to the pool on Sept. 8 as part of the Bruno Classic to kick off the 2024 season. 
 
Playing a 31-game schedule this coming fall, the Crimson will host two tournaments at Blodgett Pool while also making trips west to Colorado and California before finishing the year with the NWPC Championship in Princeton, N.J. 
 
Returning key players James Rozolis-Hill, Owen Hale, and Jack Burghardt the Crimson look to add its tenth consecutive 20+ win season. 
 
Set to play four games in the opening weekend, Harvard will play Wagner, and Cal Baptist on Sept. 7 before closing the tournament with Pacific and Fordham (exhibition) on Sept. 8. The Crimson boast a 6-2 record at the Bruno Classic over the last two seasons including wins over Fordham, Cal Baptist, and Wagner since 2022. 
 
Hitting the road for the first time in 2024, Harvard will travel to DeNunzio Pool for the Princeton Invite with opponents on Saturday yet to be determined. The Crimson will play  Fordham for the second time in a week on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. on Sept. 15 in a regular season matchup. 
 
Harvard will then travel west for the first time in 2024 as it heads to Colorado for the Air Force Invitational from Sept. 21-22, with opponents and times yet to be determined. Having only played seven games since 1988 against the Falcons, the Crimson will look to stretch its win streak to four straight games as it makes its first trip to Colorado Springs since 1995. 
 
After a week off, Harvard returns to NWPC play with a Saturday doubleheader against LIU and Princeton on Oct. 5 before a rematch of last season's NWPC Championship game on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. 
 
Returning to Blodgett for the first time since the opening weekend, the Crimson hosts Brown on Oct. 12 and MIT on Oct. 13 in a pair of games before the Harvard Invite kicks off the following weekend with dates and opponents yet to be determined. 
 
Entering the home stretch of the 2024 campaign, Harvard will head west one more time for the Julian Frazier Memorial where it will open the trip with Cal Baptist on Friday, Oct.25 before a Saturday doubleheader with hosts Santa Clara and Pacific. The Crimson will close the west coast swing with an early Sunday matchup with San Jose State before returning to conference play. 
 
Returning to the East Coast, Harvard will play road games against MIT and Brown on Nov. 2-3 before finishing the regular season with three home games at Blodgett Pool. Hosting LIU and Princeton on Nov. 9, the Crimson will finish the season with Iona on Sunday. 
 
Entering the playoffs, Harvard will travel down to Princeton for the NWPC Championships on Nov.22-24.
