CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving recently completed Olympic Trials competition around the world and is scheduled to have 2024 graduate David Abrahams participate at the U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Swimming, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 27-29.

The Crimson was well-represented at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming in Indianapolis, Indiana, last week. Rising sophomore David Schmitt advanced to the semifinals of the 200m fly after posting a 1:58.32, which was good for 15th, in the heats. Then on national television in primetime, Schmitt finished in 1:58.07 (12th), falling shy of making it to the finals. Schmitt also competed in the prelims of the 100 fly, logging a time of 53.66 (45th).

Two of Schmitt's teammates from last season, David Greeley and Dylan Rhee, were also on site at Lucas Oil Stadium, swimming in the prelims of 100m free and 200m breast, respectively. Greeley finished in 51.02 (63rd) and Rhee posted a time of 2:16.55 (62nd).

Four incoming first-years were also in the Hoosier State in Adriano Arioti, Joshua Chen, Eric Lee and Richard Poplawski III. Arioti and Lee finished in 55th (2:03.56) and 58th (2:04.08), respectively, in the 200m back prelims, with Arioti also completing the 200m IM prelims in 2:05.37 (82nd). Poplawski, meanwhile, came in 57th in the 200m IM heats (2:03.27) and 43rd in the 400m IM prelims (4:25.83). Chen, who was part of the 200m-breast field with Rhee and finished in 27th during the heats (2:13.80), came in 32nd in the prelims of the 100m breast (1:01.46).

Down in Knoxville, Tennessee, Adam Wesson competed at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Diving. Performing on the three-meter springboard, Wesson totaled a score of 331.30, to finish in 19th place in a field of 39 divers. The rising senior, however, fell 0.55 points of advancing to the semifinals.

Over in Belgrade, Serbia, at the European Championships, Marcus Holmquist '24 competed for Sweden in two individual events and a pair of relays. In the 100m free, Holmquist finished with a time of 50.60, to finish in eighth in Heat 4, and then came in third in Heat 3 of the 50m free (22.81). In the relays, meanwhile, Holmquist helped the 4x100m reach the finals after swimming the anchor leg in Heat 1 as Sweden finished in third (3:17.44). During the championship round, Holmquist swam the third leg as his team finished in eighth place (3:17.72). In the mixed 4x100m free, Holmquist was the second athlete in the pool as Sweden finished in 3rd in Heat 1 (3:31.83).
