CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving's
Isabella Alas,
Stephanie Iannaccone and
Anya Mostek completed action at a pair of high-level meets this past week.
Alas and Iannaccone swam at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships 2024 in Monterrey, Mexico, representing El Salvador and Guatemala, respectively. Mostek, meanwhile, appeared at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Alas recorded a pair of top-3 finishes in the B-final of the 50m backstroke (32.2) and 50m freestyle (27.32), while also swimming in the 100m butterfly and free. In the fly, the rising sophomore came in sixth place (1:02.39) and logged a 17
th-place performance in the free (1:02.17).
Iannaccone brought back a pair of medals after winning gold in the 200m individual medley (2:21.02) and a silver in the 200m breaststroke (2:36.01). The soon-to-be sophomore also swam the anchor leg for Guatemala's mixed 200m free relay, which finished in sixth place (1:46.73).
Mostek was a participant in the 100m back at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and the rising junior registered a time of 1:01.44 in the heats, which was good for 26
th place.
Meanwhile in Belgrade, Serbia,
Nina Janmyr made an appearance at the European Championships. Competing for Sweden, the junior teamed with Elna Widerstrom to take second place (258.75) in the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard event.
