Men’s Basketball Collects Academic Accolades from NABC

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University men's basketball has earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award while three members of the Crimson have gained spots on the NABC Honors Court in recognition of academic excellence during the 2023-24 school year, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced on Monday.
 
The Crimson captured the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the 10th straight season, marking the longest active streak in the Ivy League.
 
Harvard's NABC Honors Court selections included seniors Justice Ajogbor and Christian Rich and junior Evan Nelson.
 
To be eligible for the NABC Team Academic Award, a team must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2023-24 academic year. All men's basketball players listed on the varsity roster during the season must be included in the team GPA calculation. All four-year and two-year colleges with at least one active NABC member on staff are eligible.
 
The NABC Honors Court recognizes players who were academically a junior, senior, or graduate student during the 2023-24 academic year. To be eligible, players must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year and must have been a member of the varsity roster in 2023-24. Players from four-year colleges with at least one active NABC member on staff are eligible.
