Dozier, who was previously the program's Assistant Head Coach, has made a tremendous impact in two short years in Cambridge – both in and out of the pool.
In the water, Dozier has helped the Crimson win its sixth and seventh straight Ivy League championships, with Harvard collecting 37 all-conference accolades, including 22 first-team honors, the last two seasons. In 2024 alone, Dozier guided the Crimson to 14 individual Ivy event titles en route to a 361-point victory. Harvard's Ivy success has also translated to the national stage as four individuals and five relays have qualified for the NCAA Championships over the last two years.
Through Dozier's tutelage, several Crimson athletes have competed on the international stage, with a pair set to appear in Paris, France, this summer. Rising senior
Anthony Rincon, a three-time first-team all-Ivy relay swimmer and four-time second-team all-league selection (100 back, 200 back), will represent Colombia in the 100 back (July 28) at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
David Abrahams '24, meanwhile, was named to 2024 United States Paralympic Team, which will compete in Paris from Aug. 29-Sept. 7.
In the classroom, Dozier has mentored a Harvard squad that has set the bar for Division I men's swimming and diving teams nationally. The Crimson has posted the top D-I semester grade point average in the sport twice (Fall 2022, Fall 2023), and then finished second (Spring 2024) and third (Spring 2023) nationally the other two semesters with Dozier on staff.
Individually, Harvard has been one of the top programs in the country for number of CSCAA Scholar All-Americans, finishing in the top-3 in each of the last two seasons. In 2022-23, the Crimson had 20 recipients, which ranked third in Division I. This past year saw 19 Harvard athletes secure accolades, a number that ranked second only to Stanford. Harvard additionally has had three athletes earn Academic All-America honors (2 in 2022-23, 1 in 2023-24), marking the first time in program history it has had at least one recipient in back-to-back years.
In 2024-25, Dozier will help usher in a highly regarded first-year class, which will join a returning group of Crimson swimmers and divers looking to capture an eighth consecutive Ivy League title.
