CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's golf is thrilled to announce the addition of three first-years that will join the program and the Harvard Class of 2028 this Fall.
Michelle Liu,
Lucy Yuan and
Vanessa Zhang are set to join the team this Fall to help the Crimson chase more titles and tournament victories in 2024-25.

Naree Song, the Head Coach of Harvard Women's Golf. "In addition to their golf accomplishments, our incoming first-years also have experience leading teams and were core members of their respective high school teams in different subject matters, including debate, volunteerism, and of course, golf. We are looking forward to the start of their college careers."
The three-member group combines to form the nation's 7
th-strongest recruiting class according College Golf Commits. All three newcomers are ranked inside the top 20 in the Class of 2024 rankings according to The Junior Golf Scoreboard, with Zhang coming in at six, Liu at seven, and Yuan at 15. All three golfers will come to Harvard after experiencing successful junior careers while in high school.

Michelle Liu – Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – Crofton House School
Achievements and Accolades
- Member of the Team Canada Junior Squad in 2021-22.
- Joined the Full Canadian National Team in 2023-24.
- Two-Time Rolex Junior All-American, landing on the First Team in 2021.
- Rolex Scholastic Junior All-American
Tournament Success
- Competed in six junior tournaments during the 2023 season, never finishing lower than 21st and securing two top-five finishes to go along with her championship title at the North Atlantic Women's Amateur.
- Finished in the top-five four times during the 2022 season that included back-to-back second place finishes at the AJGA Buick Shanshan Feng Girls Invitational and the Mariah Stackhouse Girls Invitational.
- Qualifier for the U.S. Women's Amateur and U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball in 2021.
- Won three tournaments during the 2021 season including the AJGA's Mariah Stackhouse Girl's Invitationals, the UHY St. Louis Junior and the Humber College PGM CJGA Western Canadian Championship.
- British Columbia Women's Amateur Champion in 2020.

- Currently positioned at the No. 15 spot on the Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings.
- The No. 7 golfer in the Class of 2024 according to JGS.

Lucy Yuan – La Jolla, Calif. – The Bishop's School
Achievements and Accolades
- Named to Rolex Junior All-America Second Team in 2020 and 2021.
- Rolex Junior All-America Honorable Mention selection in 2023.
- 2023 Rolex Scholastic Junior All-America Honoree.
- Captain of the Bishop's School Varsity Golf team for the 2023-24 season.

- Helped her team capture the 2021 CIF San Diego Section Championship. Helped guide her team to three consecutive Coastal League championships in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons.
- 2021 USGA Women's Four-ball Quarterfinalist.
- Winner of the 2021 CIF San Diego Section Individual title.
- Winner of the 2021 AJGA The Lanto Griffin Championship.
- Winner of the 2022 AJGA Junior at Chicopee.

- Class Salutatorian at Crofton House in class of 2024.

- Helped Team Canada to win their first-ever World Junior Girls Golf Championship in 2023.
- Qualified and advanced to the Round of 32 in the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship in 2023.
- Won the K.J. Choi Foundation Texas Junior Championship in 2023
- Won the Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Sugarloaf presented by Junior Golf Hub in 2021
- Took Second Place at the KJ Choi Foundation Texas Junior Championship presented by Mediheal in 2022
Rankings
- Ranked No. 22 overall in Rolex AJGA Junior Rankings and 8th in the class of 2024.

These three incoming student-athletes will join a talented group of returning golfers when they arrive at Harvard in the Fall. After their arrival, the team will get right to work preparing for its rapidly approaching Fall season that is slated to begin in mid-September.
