Men's Cross Country Ranked No. 11 in USTFCCCA's Preseason Poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Harvard men's cross country begins the 2024 campaign among the nation's elite, as the Crimson are ranked No. 11 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national poll. The top-ranked team in the northeast region, Harvard is just one of two Ivy League programs in the national poll.

Returning 15 members from last year's squad, the Crimson look to build on a second place team finish at the 2023 Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships and a 15th place finish at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Among the returners is senior Graham Blanks, the defending NCAA men's cross country national champion. A native of Athens, Georgia and a 2024 Paris Olympian, Blanks is a three-time All-American on the trail.

Along with Blanks, senior Ben Rosa also returns to Cambridge. During the 2023 season, Rosa shined, as he earned All-Ivy League First Team and USTFCCCA Northeast All-Region honors last season. Blanks will captain the squad alongside fellow senior Joe Ewing during the 2024 season.

The Crimson embark on the 2024 season on Friday, Sept. 6, as they renew a historic rivalry against Yale. The races will start at 5:00 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+.
