PARIS – Former Crimson field hockey captain
Hannah Pearce '22 and South Africa concluded their time at the 2024 Paris Olympics with a match against the United States, as Team USA earned a 1-0 win.
After a scoreless first half, South Africa and the United States traded throughout the third quarter of action. With just three minutes left in the third, the United States earned a penalty corner, as Meredith Sholder converted the match-winning goal, 1-0.
Pearce started the finale against the United States, marking her first start at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as she appeared in all six pool play matches for South Africa. Across her international career, Pearce has made 48 appearances.
