CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 16 men's water polo is set to hit the road for the first time in 2024 as the Crimson will head to Princeton and Fordham for three games this weekend. Opening the weekend with two games at the Princeton Invitational, Harvard will head to New York on Sunday for a matchup with Fordham. The games on Saturday will not be streamed while the Sunday matchup with Fordham will be streamed on CWPA TV.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Harvard went 2-1 in three games at the Bruno Classic last weekend.
- Picking up a pair of wins on Saturday, Harvard defeated Wagner 17-8 in its first game of the season before an 11-10 win over No. 17 California Baptist University.
- The Crimson trailed 4-2 in the first quarter and eventually pulled all the way back after big fourth-quarter goals from Lukas Peabody, James Rozolis-Hill, and Jack Burghardt.
- James Rozolis-Hill finished the weekend with 10 goals in three games as the Junior now sits only 40 goals away from the all-time program record.
- Oliver Price was great in the morning game for the Crimson after making 14 stops against the Skyhawks.
- Opening Saturday with Bucknell, the Crimson defeated Bucknell twice last season. Opening the 2023 campaign with a 14-7 victory, the Crimson played the Bison at Princeton and defeated them once again after putting up another 14 goals.
- The Crimson will replicate last season's trip to Princeton, as it will play George Washington in the late game. James Rozolis-Hill netted four goals on the way to 16-9 victory. Harvard hosted George Washington later in the year and picked up another 18-8 win.
- Falling to Fordham last Sunday in an exhibition game, Harvard will get the chance to play the Rams for the second time in seven days.
