CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Basketball first-year guard
Robert Hinton has earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season, the Ivy League conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Hinton tallied 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while making 6-of-8 free throws in Harvard's Ivy League opener against Princeton. Hinton finished in double figures for the ninth time on the year. He scored seven points in the final 34 seconds as part of Harvard's late rally to pull within one possession.
For the season, Hinton ranks ninth in the Ivy League in points per game (13.9), fifth in field goals made (73), and fifth in free throws made (42). Among first-years in the NCAA, he stands 20
th in points per game (13.9) and 17
th in field goals made per game (5.2).
As a team, Harvard has tallied five Ivy League Rookie of the Week awards on the season with Hinton winning the award four times (Nov. 11, Nov. 25, Dec. 9, Jan. 13), and fellow first-year guard
Austin Hunt capturing the award once (Dec. 30). The Crimson stands as the only program in the league to have multiple first-years win the award this season.
