CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 20 Harvard men's volleyball will host its home opener this weekend as it welcomes St. Thomas Aquinas to Cambridge. The first ever match up between the two squads is set for 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 18 on the Crimson home court inside the Malkin Athletic Center.

- Despite pushing the No. 4 nationally ranked Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors down to the wire in its second match of the week, the Crimson dropped both its matches to start the season 0-2.
- This weekend's contest against St. Thomas Aquinas will be the team's home opener and will kick off a six-match home stand.
- Following a five-set thriller with the Rainbow Warriors in its last time out, Harvard moved into the AVCA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Poll, ranking No. 20.
- The Crimson two captains lead the way on the offensive end after the first week of competition. Logan Shepherd and Owen Fanning are average 3.63 and 3.50 kills per set, respectively. Additionally, the two have recorded a combined seven of the team's 12 aces.
- The pairs kill per set average currently ranks second and fifth, respectively, in the conference.
- Harvard ranks atop the EIVA in service aces as the only team in the conference to be average more than one per set at 1.50.
- On the defensive side of things Shepherd is also leading the team with 16 digs, followed by 13 from first-year libero, Thomas Phung. Senior middle blocker, Brian Thomas, has recorded a team-high seven total blocks.
- This weekend's match up with St. Thomas Aquinas will be the first in series history.
