CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving is slated to play host to Penn on Saturday at Blodgett Pool for its Senior Day meet. The action is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET and air live on ESPN+.
What to Know
- The Crimson comes into its final home meet of the 2024-25 season with a perfect 7-0 dual-meet record (4-0 Ivy League). Penn, meanwhile, is 8-3 on the year and has split six Ivy dual meets (3-3).
- Harvard is set to honor its nine-athlete senior class at the conclusion of the contest. The Crimson's Class of 2025 includes Mandy Brenner, Erin Cavanagh, Robin Cruz-Abrams, Aleksandra Denisenko, Remi Edvalson, Molly Hamlin, Elizabeth Miclau, Amy Wotovich and Grace Yoon. The group won the 2022 Ivy League title and has finished among the top-2 at the last three conference meets.
- Harvard returns to action for the first time since competing at Hawai'i with Arkansas in Honolulu. The Jan. 9 meet saw the Crimson defeat the Rainbow Wahine, 172-71, and the Razorbacks, 160-83.
- In its win in the nation's 50th state, Harvard won both relay races (400 medley, 200 free) and posted individual victories in the 1,000 free (Alexandra Bastone), 200 free (Hamlin), 500 free (Bastone), 200 back (Hamlin), 200 IM (Stephanie Iannaccone), 200 breast (Iannaccone), and 200 fly (Sydney Lu).
- Harvard is making its first appearance at Blodgett Pool in over two months. The last time the Crimson competed in front of its home fans was on Nov. 22, in a 206-93 triumph over Columbia. The decision improved Harvard's home record this season to 2-0.
- The Crimson will be in search of its eighth dual win of the season, a feat not accomplished in Cambridge since 2012-13, when it finished at 9-0. Its seven wins are the program's most since 2018-19 when it posted a final record of 7-2.
- Harvard takes a 34-3 all-time series advantage into Saturday's clash with the Quakers and has won 19 consecutive head-to-head meetings.
- The Quakers were in action on Wednesday at West Chester and emerged with a 181-114 win.
- For fans planning on attending Saturday's meet, Harvard will be charging $10 for parking on its athletics campus.
