CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 17 men's water polo picked up a 19-14 win on Sunday afternoon at Blodgett Pool to earn its fifth straight victory.
Down 3-1 early, the Crimson battled back to tie the game by the end of the first quarter before taking a lead into halftime and never looking back.
Jack Burghardt led the way for Harvard, netting five goals and drawing five knockouts. The Crimson outscored the Engineers 13–7 across the second and third quarters to pull away from its Charles River rival. Harvard has now won six of its last seven games heading into the Harvard Invitational.

Harvard will remain at home next weekend as it hosts the annual Harvard Invitational, running Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19. The Crimson will face Wagner College (9 a.m. ET) and Salem University (6 p.m. ET) on Saturday before taking on George Washington University (10 a.m. ET) on Sunday.
