Men's Water Polo Hosts Harvard Invitational This Weekend

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 19 men's water polo is set to host the Harvard Invitational this weekend at Blodgett Pool, beginning with a Saturday doubleheader against Wagner and Salem.

With the first sprint scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday against the Seahawks, the Crimson will close the day with Salem at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, the program will host its featured event against George Washington at 10:00 a.m., with donuts, free hats for undergraduates, and a postgame autograph session. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.

WEEKEND PREVIEW

  • Harvard is set to play Wagner for the second time this season. The Crimson defeated the Seahawks 13-9 in the opening weekend of the season.
  • In that game, Jack Burghardt and Vilas Sogaard-Srikrishnan helped the Crimson pull away after combining for seven of the 13 goals.

NWPC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

  • The Crimson extended its winning streak with back-to-back NWPC victories over Brown and MIT to remain perfect in conference play.
  • The Crimson opened the weekend in Providence, R.I., with a 15–12 win over Ivy rival Brown.
