NCAA Northeast Regional Championships Up Next for Cross Country

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard cross country continues its postseason slate on Friday, Nov. 14, as the Crimson make the quick trip north to Hopkinton, New Hampshire for the 2025 NCAA Northeast Regional Championships.
Racing at the famed Hopkinton Fairgrounds begins at 11 a.m. with the women's 6k race, as the men's races concludes the action at noon.

WHAT TO KNOW:
  • Harvard returns to the course after kicking-off the postseason in the Big Apple last month with the 2025 Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships.
  • The team standings at Heps saw the men take second place with 46 points, as the women's team posted a fifth place showing.
  • Five Crimson garnered All-Ivy League honors at Van Cortlandt Park. In his Heps debut, first-year Tam Gavenas earned All-Ivy League First Team honors with a second place finish, as juniors and team captains Charlie Ortmans and Sam Burgess also earned All-Ivy League First Team status with fourth and sixth place finishes respectively.
  • On the women's side, senior Molly Malague finished in third place to garner All-Ivy League First Team recognition, as junior Sophia Gorriaran also earned All-Ivy League First Team honors after finishing in sixth place.
  • Heading into the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships, the men's team is at No. 2 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Northeast Regional Rankings and holds the No. 22 spot in the USTFCCCA's National Coaches Poll.
  • At last year's NCAA Northeast Regional Championships, the men's team punched its ticket to the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships with a second place showing, as the women's team earned an at-large bid with a fourth place finish.
  • The men's team is searching for its fifth-straight team bid to the NCAA Cross Country Championships, as the women's team looks to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships for a third straight year as a team.
