CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard track & field concluded an eventful weekend at the Harvard Invitational and the Terrier Classic at Boston University with a flurry of strong performances across the board on Saturday, including three event wins.
HARVARD INVITATIONAL HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
- Sophomore Lilly Hodge opened the meet for the Crimson in the women's high jump, as the Keene, Kentucky native took sixth place after clearing 1.57m (5'1.75").
- Two student-athletes represented the Crimson in the women's weight throw. Junior Michaela Denson impressed the crowd at Gordon Indoor Track, taking second with a personal-best attempt of 18.79m (61'7.75"). Sophomore Alice Mihas placed eighth after throwing 15.63m (51'3.5").
- After setting the Ivy League record in the women's pole vault last weekend, senior Anastasia Retsa won the event for the fifth time this season, clearing the bar at 4.23m (13'10.5").
- With a jump of 6.08m (19'11.5"), sophomore Marta Amani earned her second straight win in the long jump.
- In the women's shot put, first-year Tyler Glover earned the first win of her career at the Harvard Invitational, clinching the milestone with a throw of 14.71m (48'3.25"). An All-America First Team selection in the discus last season, sophomore Milina Wepiwé finished in fourth in the women's shot put after posting a throw of 13.35m (43'9.75").
- The Crimson ended the Harvard Invitational on a high note, as the women's 4x440y relay team of first-year Saige Forbes, first-year Ella Cooper, junior Mfoniso Andrew and Amani won the event with a time of 3:47.64.
TERRIER CLASSIC HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
- Action across town at Boston University began with the men's 500m run, as junior Reuben Henry-Daire led the way, finishing in 16th place with a time of 1:06.07. Fellow classmate Michal Husek followed right behind, placing 18th after running a 1:06.22.
- In the men's 200m, a pair of Crimson earned places in the top-15. Running a 21.85, Junior Jonas Clarke grabbed 12th place, while first-year LeRoy Horton finished in 15th after posting a 21.92.
- Harvard dazzled in the men's 1000m at the Terrier Classic, with two Crimson taking spots in the top-five of a competitive field. Senior Joe Ewing ran a personal-best 2:22.22, a time that ranks third all-time in program history. Finishing in fourth place was senior Noah Ward, as he clocked a 2:23.16, tied for the fourth-fastest time in school history. In his collegiate track & field debut, first-year William Brunner finished in 12th with a time of 2:27.06.
- The day at Boston University concluded with the men's 3000m, as senior Ben Rosa improved his personal-best in the event, finishing in 16th place with a time of 7:52.06. A native of Lake Bluff, Illinois, Rosa now ranks fifth all-time in the 3000m in Crimson history.

The Crimson will again split up between multiple meets next weekend. Harvard will host the highly anticipated Crimson Elite and Crimson Open on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8, as the Crimson will also feature at the Scarlet & White Invite as well.
